Today, we honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who guided the nation through a peaceful protest of racial injustice and left a legacy for future generations. Dr. King offered many profound statements that help us become a more compassionate society and encourage us to follow our dreams. Martin Luther King Jr. day in Destin, Florida is commemorated with an annual march on Jan. 20 that begins at 10 a.m. at the Ft. Walton Beach Civic Auditorium on US Hwy 98 and ends at the Ft. Calling all runners! Many of our guests' goals for 2014, include beating existing run times and participating in more marathons. Kick off your New Year’s Resolution by participating in a 5K, 10K or Half Marathon in Destin, Florida!
Hosted by the Destin Chamber of Commerce, the Fourth Annual Bayou, Bay & Back Run/Marathon will celebrate “Superheroes” and everyone is encouraged to come in costume!
