One of our favorite Destin activities for social distancing is bike riding. Sanitize the handlebars and head out for fun! Rent bikes from one of the area’s bike rental companies, including Rent Gear Here or La Dolce Vita, and hit the trails.

Everyone loves babies! And the Gulfarium in Destin was excited to welcome a new baby seal to the Gulfarium family this spring. The wide-eyed harbor seal was born in April and is now a curious, playful three-month old. His name is Ollie and he’s melting the hearts of all who visit him. What a sight! We were able to join locals and tourists alike to see the release of Mars, a 121 lb. loggerhead sea turtle, get released into the wild at Henderson Beach on May 19th. The 21-year old Mars was found stranded off of Perdido Key on December 29, 2015. She was in bad condition and was missing her left rear flipper, and had barnacles and red algae all over her back. She was taken to the Gulfarium C.A.R.E. Center on Okaloosa Island for rehabilitation and some TLC. How did she get her name? The Gulfarium C.A.R.E. Center
