What's New at Eggs on the Beach EggFest, Sept 24

The  3rd Annual Eggs on the Beach  EggFest will return to Seascape Resort this weekend! On Sept. 24, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., more than 30 Big Green Eggs will be fired up and teams will be cooking and serving samples of their best recipes for a chance to win cash and prizes. Grayton Beer Brewery Adds Cans to Collection

Many of our guests ask about local craft beers brewed in South Walton and we're always excited to share what's new and local. Grayton Beer Company recently announced that their beer currently packaged as 30A Beach Blonde Ale is now available in 12 oz. cans as Beach Permit Blonde Ale. Appropriately named, the new aluminum packaging allows the popular local brew to be iced down and taken to the beach where glass is prohibited.  For those who are not familiar with Grayton Beer Company, it was launched by Jamey Price on Jan. 1, 2014.   Continue reading

Tropical Storm Hermine Heads to Tallahassee

Tropical Storm Hermine has turned up the surf as she makes her way toward Tallahassee (166 miles east of Destin) so we’re on double red flag conditions and water is closed for swimming. After more than 30 years of living and working along the Emerald Coast, we’ve learned what to expect depending on where the eye of the storm is forecasted to make landfall.
