• Keep the beach dark — Turn off balcony lights at night and close blinds to prevent disorienting hatchlings.

• Avoid flashlights and flash photography (dark) — Bright light or non red light can confuse both mothers and hatchlings.

• Fill in holes (flat) — Sand pits can become obstacles for nesting mothers.

• Stay away from marked nests — Give nests plenty of space and avoid touching stakes or tape.
