Bike to the Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin

The Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin is a great spot in Miramar Beach for anyone looking for a safe biking experience and plenty of spots to eat and explore. Those on bikes or e-bikes can easily reach it by following Scenic Highway 98 east to entrance of Sandestin. Stop at the Market Shops for Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream for refreshments. Then head south to reach the Gulf-front restaurant, The Beach House and access to the beach OR head north to the Village of Baytowne Wharf. Avoid crossing Highway 98 by accessing the bike / golf cart path to the east of the Sandestin Guard Gate. This path will take you through a tunnel under Hwy 98 for maximum safety. At the north guard gate, let them know you are headed to the Village. This beautiful bike ride takes you through canopy roads past beautifully manicured fairways and scenic ponds. Bike to the Baytowne Marina to view the luxury yachts or continue to the Village of Baytowne Wharf where the Baytowne Adventure Zone, Thrills Laser Arcade as well as an array of boutique shops and restaurants await.  

Baytowne Wharf Village's variety of dining options range from Landshark Bar & Grill and The Marina Bar & Grill to sweet treats at Moo LaLa and burgers, delicious milkshakes and boba teas at Bunkley's Burgers & Grill. Bike Along Scenic Highway 98 

Head west from the Hidden Dunes Resort Entrance to bike along Scenic Highway 98. Stay on the sidewalk and curve left onto Scenic at the Chick Fil A. This 6-mile stretch with a paved biking/walking path is brimming with restaurants and shops that locals and visitors cherish. There are many Gulf-front restaurants to stop for a meal or refreshments. The location is Surf Hut, which serves deliciously fresh seafood, burgers and tacos in an open air beachside setting. Next you'll reach the Whale's Tale, another great local beachside restaurant option that welcomes guests right off the beach or Scenic Hwy 98. Continue west for Bad Ass Coffee or a stop at the local Chautaqua Winery store in Miramar Beach to learn more about our local muscadine wine. Continue west through Frangista Beach lined with tall palms to reach the point of interest, the Miramar Beach Public Beach Access and Pompano Joe's Gulf-front Restaurant. Pompano Joe’s also serves up seafood, but with a Cajun twist. The homemade gumbo is a great starter. Continue west to discover a salty local staple, Kenny D's. Next stop is the Crab Trap, a popular Gulf-front spot where guests can enjoy a casual bite or libation with a view.
