There is just something magical about being outside and listening to live music. Luckily, here in Destin there are opportunities to enjoy live music most nights of the week. We’ve compiled a list of some of our favorite places to relax and enjoy outdoor concerts this summer
The Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation celebrates the arts with its Concerts in the Village series. Every Thursday, now through June, MKAF features some of the most popular bands from around the region. From your favorite genres to tribute bands, the line-up is dynamite and the second set always has everyone out of their seat dancing under the stars. Bring a blanket or chairs for seating on the green. Concerts are $15/person and children 12 and under are free. HarborWalk Village overlooking the Destin Harbor is a great location for live music. Their summer concerts kick off Memorial Day weekend. On Saturday (5/26), enjoy a live concert from 7-9 p.m. by Flash Flood and on Sunday (5/27) Departure will perform a tribute to Journey from 7–9 p.m. followed by fireworks and fire spinning with “Just Add Fire.”
Every Saturday, now through August 18, HarborWalk Village hosts Rock the Docks Live Concert Series. These free concerts will be held on Saturdays from 7-9 p.m. at the HarborWalk Village amphitheater, celebrating a variety of genres and musical styles. Address: 10 Harbor Blvd, Destin, FL 32541
