This June, art lovers along the Emerald Coast are invited to experience a month-long celebration of creativity as local artist Andi Scurto takes center stage in Distilled: An Artist Series at Distillery 98 in Santa Rosa Beach.

The exhibition officially opens with a Gallery Night Reception on Thursday, June 4, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., marking the beginning of Andi's residency and month-long installation throughout the distillery. Presented by Emerald Coast Storytellers in collaboration with Distillery 98 and supported by the Cultural Arts Alliance, the event offers guests an opportunity to connect with art, community, and storytelling in a uniquely immersive setting.

The concept behind Distilled is rooted in the idea that artists, much like distillers, refine and transform experiences, memories, and perspectives into something meaningful and memorable. Throughout June, visitors to Distillery 98 will have the opportunity to explore Andi's vibrant collection of artwork, featuring expressive portraiture, whimsical illustrations, and colorful compositions that celebrate curiosity, imagination, and the stories that connect us all.

Known throughout the region for her playful artistic style, vibrant murals, and award-winning children's book The Accidental Adventure of Mattie the Giraffe, Andi brings a distinctive voice to the exhibition. Her work captures the joy of everyday moments while inviting viewers to see the world through a lens of wonder and possibility.

Opening Night promises to be more than an art exhibition. Guests can enjoy handcrafted cocktails from Distillery 98, delicious offerings from The Banana Tree food truck, and live music from local musician Elijah Edney while mingling with the artist and exploring the installation. The evening is free to attend, and community members are encouraged to RSVP in advance.

The exhibition will remain on display throughout the month of June, allowing visitors multiple opportunities to experience the artwork in an environment that blends visual art, storytelling, and local culture.

As part of her residency, Andi will also lead a special hands-on workshop, Sip and Sea: A Creative Voyage with Watercolor Markers, on June 24. Participants will learn techniques for combining watercolor markers, ink, and pencil to create whimsical illustrations inspired by coastal life. The workshop reflects Andi's passion for sharing creativity with others and making art accessible to artists of all skill levels.

The partnership between Emerald Coast Storytellers, Distillery 98, and the Cultural Arts Alliance continues to strengthen the local arts community by creating opportunities for artists to showcase their work while inviting residents and visitors to engage with the creative process.

Whether you're a longtime collector, an aspiring artist, or simply someone who appreciates a good story told through color and imagination, Andi Scurto's Distilled exhibition offers an inspiring experience worth exploring.
