Director of Tennis
Renee Broxson 
Renee Broxson joined Hidden Dunes as tennis professional in May 2005. Renee is a graduate of the University of West Florida in
Pensacola, where she played collegiately. She successfully coached the women’s tennis team at the University of West Florida for
six years, was the director of tennis at the Pensacola Country Club, and was also the head professional at WaterColor Resort in
Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
Renee is an active member of the USPTA, attends world and sectional conferences for continuing education, and has been the
recipient of the Arthur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship Award and the Gulf Coast Conference Sportsmanship Award. Her professional
accolades include the following: 2004 USTA Florida State 40s Singles Finalist; 2004 USTA Florida State 40s Doubles Finalist with
Myke Loomis; 2004 USTA National 40s Clay Court Doubles Champion with Myke Loomis; and 2008–2009 USPTA Division I Professional of
the Year.
Head Tennis Professional
George Cobia 
Before joining Hidden Dunes Tennis Center, Cobia served as director of tennis at Pensacola Athletic Center, Shoreline Tennis in Gulf
Breeze and Roger Scott Tennis Center in Pensacola. He was also the assistant coach of the University of West Florida women's tennis
team when the team was celebrated in the national top ten. Cobia played tennis for Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Georgia.
At Hidden Dunes, Cobia will be responsible for designing and implementing instructional clinics and lessons to “make sure the players
and families that visit Hidden Dunes Beach and Tennis Resort go home with an improved game and an appetite to return.
George Cobia has a bachelor’s degree in health, leisure and exercise science from the University of West Florida and has been a Level
1 United States Tennis Professional for 25 years.
Pro Shop Manager
Jerry Renaud 
Jerry is an avid tennis player who joined our staff in 2002. He manages the pro shop, answers phone, takes reservations, puts
matches together, fills in matches at all levels.
